So complete this failure
nothing can make it right
finished and done
cannot see the light
Unable to understand
why again it is here
always bringing with it
all that is most to fear
Broken in spirit
shattered in soul
nothing can now
make this whole
Again it has come
epic in form
perhaps it’s true
failure is the norm

All the things you lost because of what you’ve done
all you could have had and now you’re left with none
time and time again offered everything you dreamed
only to find that you were nothing that you seemed
Could have had it all but lost everything with your lies
cannot get it back no matter how many tries
forever lost all that you worked for so long
now you’re at the bottom where you truly belong
All of it could have been yours if only you were true
success unlike anything you knew
just waiting there for you to take
and all that you have lost with just the one mistake
Now you are so much less than you could have been
and nothing that you wanted will ever come again
lost it all no one’s fault but your own it’s true
no one else to blame for there is only you

Get knocked down things not going well
feeling as if you’re spending time in hell
nothing goes right all lows and no highs
and still you have the strength to rise
Feeling hopeless lost and afraid
the best of plans get waylaid
no words to speak only sighs
and still you have the strength to rise
Heartbroken dreams cast aside
looking for a place in which to hide
failing failing so many tries
and still you have the strength to rise
Sun breaks through the clouds now gone
a new path unto your feet is shown
triumphant through adversity only truth now no lies
and all because you had the strength to rise

Success is what you make it all in what you do
the way you take a dream and see it through
no one else can give it to you it’s something that you earn
and in success it’s through failure that you truly learn
Success can be in the small things or in the very great
but it does not come to those who sit and wait
only to you who are willing to work to sacrifice to begin again and again
to never see a roadblock as truly an end
Success comes to those who never point fingers or blame others when they fail
when they stumble they never whine or wail
responsible for their own mistakes and for their own shots at being great
they open their own doors and walk through their own gates
Success has to be created, worked for, taken by you
with every word you speak or write, with everything you do
no one can give it to you it comes from deep inside
in the heart of the successful all great things reside
