Bitter cold
reflected light
no sound
so busy
yet silent
blinding white
still falling
no noise
so quiet
piling higher
each one
atop another
still silent
listen close
hearing nothing
nonstop action
ever silent

bright sun
still green
no white
waiting wishing
still warm
little chill
something missing
little tease
once or twice
not lasting
thaw unfreeze
now December
