Some people spend their lives living just the same
their high school years stretch into a decade
living at home doing the same things always with the same people
never making anything more of well….anything at all
They go from small job to small job
going from college to college when they wash out yet again
spending their nights and weekends in an alcoholic blur
nothing to show for any of it
Everyone sees it but them they never see the truth
always living in some deluded vision of who they truly are
judging others who try and live happier lives
while they have nothing to show for their own
Yet in their tiny minds they see themselves as bigger
better than the truth of it so delusional
little man syndrome in every sense of it so completely small
becoming nothing doing nothing always the same

Thanks for reading Darwin. I do agree that it is difficult to get through life…but I just think that eventually you need to make some kind of progress…staying the same just isn’t getting you anywhere 🙂
